Vitamin C Gum:

A fresh new idea in oral care Peelu Vitamin C Dental Chewing Gum! Each two-piece serving contains 60 mg, 100% of the daily allowance of vitamin C together with US patented Peelu extract to brighten your smile. Our Vitamin C Gum features a delicious natural citrus flavor.

For centuries, people of Asia, Africa and the Middle East have cleaned their teeth by chewing the dried branches of the Peelu tree. Peelu (botanical name: Salvadora Persica), also regionally called Siwak, Miswak and Neem, means “Tree for Tooth Care."

Despite its long history, Peelu tree branches have only been used in the form of a chewing stick. The Peelu Company, for the first time, converted its remarkable qualities into a toothpaste, tooth powder, liquid extract and a dental chewing gum.

The researchers discovered a number of naturally occurring qualities in the peelu tree, including:
  • It contains a natural chlorine which whitens and removes tartar and stains (tartar is the yellow material on the teeth, chiefly Calcium Phosphate)
  • It contains Tannic Acid and Vitamin C, making it beneficial for healthy gums
  • It contains sulfur, which helps keep the mouth clean
There is another very important difference that sets Peelu apart from all other toothpastes and dentifrices. Peelu contains no inorganic abrasives. All other toothpastes on the market contain Calcium Carbonate (chalk), Silicon (sand) or DiCalcium Phosphate (bone).

While these abrasives are added to increase the cleansing action, in reality they are detrimental to the healthy state of the teeth and gums, as they can damage the tooth enamel (enamel is the thin layer that covers the tooth above the gum line).

The layer under the enamel is the Dentin and it is yellowish in color. Brushing with an abrasive causes wear and subsequent erosion over the years. Those individuals who brush with abrasive toothpaste in an attempt to whiten their teeth are actually causing them to be more yellow by thinning the enamel layer.,

Confirming the science research and the uniqueness of Peelu, the U.S. Patent Office granted a patent on April 23, 1991 for Peelu to be the ONLY dental care product that uses a plant fiber as its cleansing agent. These fibers can be found in Peelu toothpaste, tooth fiber, extract and chewing gum. In short, nothing works like Peelu!
